Please select the appropriate climate zone, building type, and wall type for the minimum Title 24 Prescriptive Requirement U-Value. For a list of climate zones by city, please click Climate Zone Cities in the Related Link Category toolbar to the left. For the purpose of the Title 24 Standards, all residential buildings four stories or greater are considered high-rise residential buildings and those residential buildings less than four stories are considered low-rise residential buildings. For the wall type, light mass walls are those walls with a heat capacity less than 15, and heavy mass walls are those walls with a heat capacity equal to or greater than 15. To calculate heat capacity please go to the Performance Data section of this website and use the Lookup Table.
